An occasional meeting with a Dinosaur

I have to say that I love being a nanny. The little ones remind me to enjoy the simple pleasures that life has to offer and to forget about the rush and craziness of life. They also give me a chance to imagine up all kinds of stories and remember when I was little. I think it's made me realize most that I still have much of that left in me and that I can't just leave it up the kids to have all the fun. I babysit Sam on Fridays and she and I have the best time together. Today it made me laugh because we went out to this little retention basin with a pool right next to it and as we were playing, Sam and I spotted a dinosaur. This dinosaur is huge and apparently can turn into a dragon from time to time and fly. And sometimes when it is not being very nice, we have to run into the forest (3 palm trees) and hide. Or we run to our "fort" (by the fire hydrant) and find shelter. Sometimes the dinosaur hangs out by the "waterfalls" (the pool) and stops for a drink. We quite enjoy our time with him. It's nice to know they are no longer extinct because we really have come to like our dinosaur/dragon friend. I look forward to our meetings in the future and maybe sometime if he has a good attitude, we may invite him to a lovely picnic.

The Latest...

Recently, I packed up my Western self and moved out East to a little place called Virginia. My parents relocated out here about 2 years ago, so it was time I check out VA for myself. It is in the DC metro area, so we spend lots of fun time in the city or in the country. I am still working as a pediatric nurse and looking to maybe move towards the non-profit or political side of health care. I gained a new family member in the form of a Chinese exchange student named Donna, and I love being with my parents again. Life is good.
