"Now for the vocal stylings of Miss Katie Salmon..."

Here we were on the first night of our cruise at Kareoke Night and I was hoping to rock this song for my first kareoke performance, but it was so terrible. I couldn't find the key the whole time and they wouldn't cut the music, so I just sang my little heart out. Everyone got a kick out of it and people even howeled in the background. Afterwards this big guy in the front row said that he would be somebody for me to love. . . thanks buddy, because after that I was affraid I had no chance. It was my first kareoke performance and you would think it would've been my last, but I couldn't sit "Family Kareoke Night" out and my family said I had to redeem myself. I felt like Kimmy on "My Best Friend's Wedding." Embarrassing, I know, but I thought you would enjoy a good laugh. I just hope I still have friends after posting this.

Lara, Sarah, and I singing a little Dixie Chicks number...We sure gave the crowd a run for their money and I decided that I really like kareoke; there's nothing like a good humbling.

So I wached your little video while I was at work and I was laughing so hard, but trying to look nonchalant (since I'm at work) but man it made me miss you. you are a hoot. I can't wait to show Dallen he thinks everything you do is funny.

The Latest...

Recently, I packed up my Western self and moved out East to a little place called Virginia. My parents relocated out here about 2 years ago, so it was time I check out VA for myself. It is in the DC metro area, so we spend lots of fun time in the city or in the country. I am still working as a pediatric nurse and looking to maybe move towards the non-profit or political side of health care. I gained a new family member in the form of a Chinese exchange student named Donna, and I love being with my parents again. Life is good.
