Viva Mexico!

Well the Salmon family just returned from the best trip ever! We took a fabulous cruise to Puerto Vallarta, Mazatlan, and Cabo San Lucas Mexico. The Princess Cruise was so nice and we felt we were truly living the high life. We went to fun shows every night, did a little kareoke (which proved to be majorly embarrassing for me, but Lara was an absolute pro), played lots of card games, soaked up sun by the pool and feasted more than I thought I could ever feast(and it was a huge deal for me to try crab and duck). Durring our stops to the different ports, we had many fun adventures. Our first day we went swimming with dolphins and they reacted to the different signs we would show them. I mean they actually pushed us by the feet so we flew across the water and my favorite was the lovely kiss I recieved from Apollo the dolphin. Lets just say it was a remarkable feeling to actually be holding on to the fins of two dolphins and swim along side them in the beautiful blue water. It was a dream. Then we rode these awesome water slides that I swear woud be illegal in the U.S. because they were so dang fast, but we had the best time racing and screaming our lungs out. In Mazatlan we went kayaking (man that was a workout) and played sand volleyball, then we went into the city later to bargain shop. In Cabo we went jet-skiing and I think I laughed the entire time. It was a little scary at first, but it was huge rush. The water was splashing in Matt and my face and we had fun squirting Jake and Sarah with the water that shot off the back of the jet-skis. I took full advantage when it was my turn to drive and I loved every minute of it. I didn't hessitate to put the petal to the metal. The cities were all so wonderful and I loved to feel apart of the culture there. On the ship the mariachi (who knows if I am even close to spelling that right) bands played and even sang to us personally at dinner and we did not hold back our Mexican "arribas". It was so nice to be away from everything familiar and to totally forget any stress and just let loose (and that I did!). The last night our family sang in the family kareoke night and we had a ball. Let's just say on this trip we had no shame for anything and we did it all! It was the best trip ever and I loved being with my family. We laughed so much together and grew closer as a family. It was just like I got to hang out with my best friends all week long in the most beautiful places doing the most wonderful things. Thanks mom and dad!

Awwww, I love this picture because it looks like the kind of photo that comes inside of a frame when you buy it. Priceless...

The Latest...

Recently, I packed up my Western self and moved out East to a little place called Virginia. My parents relocated out here about 2 years ago, so it was time I check out VA for myself. It is in the DC metro area, so we spend lots of fun time in the city or in the country. I am still working as a pediatric nurse and looking to maybe move towards the non-profit or political side of health care. I gained a new family member in the form of a Chinese exchange student named Donna, and I love being with my parents again. Life is good.
