1. I love days when the clouds are dark and it starts to rain, yet the sun is still shining and it doesn't seem appropriate for it to be raining. And I think Arizona has its very own distinct rain smell; it smells like wet, musty dirt. I love that anyone can tell it's going to rain just by stepping outside and smelling that smell. I really just love good weather and rolling down the windows.

2. I absolutely love going on adventures. I just can't seem to get enough of new things. I love seeing new places and experiencing things for the first time (except food, that's a toughie for me). Traveling brings on this huge excitement for me that I can't find anywhere else. My friend Kim Shill and I went to Disneyland last year and I think she didn't expect someone my age to be so giddy about it-she'll know what I mean. I love seeing things in real life that I have only been able to read about in books. Seeing the Eiffel Tower for the first time with Mel Layman-wow, there was no containing us. I love going exploring when I go camping with a good walking stick. At our cabin I take my nephew exploring in the backyard and everyone probably thinks that I am doing it to be a good babysitter, but it's really me who loves it and just needs a good imaginative companion to make it more fun. The little ones never lose their sense of adventure and I think that's why I relate to kids so well. I always enjoy a good adventure and I am always looking around every corner to find one.

3. Flowers are one of my favorite things. They make everything happier and more beautiful. I love creating masterpieces with flowers for others to enjoy, especially brides. It just feels so fun to take something that is simple by itself and that may be considered plain, and bundle it together with other ordinary flowers to make something lovely. I am not a perfectionist in really too many areas of my life, except for my flowers. I can't wait to have my own huge garden of flowers someday. P.S. If I were a flower, I would definitely be a tulip. It just looks like me.

4. My family is pretty much my life. I love being with my family because we have the best time together. I love going on vacation where we can quad, snowboard, play football in the ocean, have UNO and Scum marathons (of which I always lose), eat out, watch movies, sing kareoke (and we all know I am so good at that), and shop til we drop (which the boys don't enjoy, but they are patient). It's just hard to believe sometimes, that I got put in a family with people who are my greatest friends. Jake got married this week and it was so special. It was a little hard to pass him on to Sarah after he and I have had rein over the singles ward as the Singles Ward Dinosaurs for the past 4 years, but I am happy to do so. He is going to make a great husband.
I hope to find someone like him for me someday.

5. I am a person who gets absolutely consumed in the movies I watch and the books I read. I will be in the mood of the book or movie for awhile after I am done with them. I feel like I am totally in their time and that I actually know the characters as my own friends. It's pretty pathetic, but oh so true. That's why watching chick-flicks is so dangerous for me, the HOPELESS romantic. And I absolutely hate nothing more than a movie with a bad ending. I mean, I know sometimes they try to keep them realistic, but if I wanted real life then I wouldn't be watching something made in Hollywood. And I have a really weird sense of humor...I sometimes laugh too hard in movies and have been known to embarrass others I am with. I am the one that usually laughs when no one else does...I am just easily amused.
6. Clean sheets are one of my favorite things. I love making a bed and climbing inside with the smell of laundry detergent still on them. There really isn't much of a better feeling. I must say that at the hospital when I make a lot of patients' beds, I am so tempted to climb in and try it out before bringing the patient in to their room. I can just say, I could never work at a hotel. I would get into a lot of trouble.
7. Blueberry muffins put me into the best mood. I am not kidding about this. I have to say that when I wake up to the smell of them, I jump right out of bed and haul it downstairs to the kitchen-which is a big deal because I am not a morning person. I can smell them a mile away. My friend Krissi and I went away to college together for one summer and she didn't really believe me about this until one morning, she decided to be the best friend ever, and make me some muffins before getting up. I was like a little kid in a candy store that morning and she said "wow, they really do put you into the best mood." And yes, Krissi, they do...but I only like them made out of the box...no store bought muffins here. They are the recipe to happiness.

I am now tagging Krissi, Mel, Melissa, Kim, and Julie
