Easters weekend

Life with me and the cousins couldn't get any better. Last weekend was too much fun. On Friday we went out to dinner with the Tempe people and luckily they were kind enough to invite the Mesa girl. It was so good to dig my teeth into a juicy hamburger and enjoy good company. Those of you who know me well may be wondering how I have converted to the way of hamburgers after many long years of hating them and loving hot dogs. But ever since I was in Cali and enjoyed the blessed In-n-Out I sure love them now. Don't worry, I am not turning my back on hot dogs, but I have just added unto them. Anyways...enough of my ode to unhealthy meats....and onto more talk of my lovely cousins. We are always having a good time with each other; having dance parties to 90's music (the true classics), watching movies, late night chats, and just about everything we do together is makings for a good time. Syrell has quite the sweet beau in her life and I am often the 3rd wheel, but one wheel that is always welcomed. Like I always say "when you don't have a boyfriend, hang out with your cousins'." Just kiddin...but seriously.

So another grand event of our Easter weekend was the fact it was Taryn's birthday as well. And for those of you who don't know, Taryn and i are only 6 days apart. We have gone through life with many a fun joint birthday parties. My favorite being our "Sweet 16". It's funny how 23 is here to stay and it came so fast (now I am sounding like a grandma). But I have this feeling it's going to be a good, no great.....grood year. Its just nice to have someone to join me in it. Taryn has been a good wing-man all these years and someone who truly knows me at my worst and still loves me...she is a saint. By the way...for our Easter feasting we made a pot roast and I'd just like to say it was a success and it was the first time making it. Mom, you've tought me well.

On Saturday I went to a bridal shower for my friend Ginny and got to see some of my most favorite girls. You see, freshman year of college I didn't go to school up here, but my bff Krissi Tutt did. So that meant I pretty much lived up here and could be considered a student- minus the whole class part. I did attend many a classes with Kris though. So these were the girls that lived in the dorms with Kris. Then the summer right before nursing school I came up here and lived with Kris and fell in love with these girls all over again. It's so fun to reunite. They make me feel like I have always been one of them. Congrats Gin!
(Katelyn, Ginny, Christa, Ashley, and me)

Saturday night our ward went up to the Sundance lodge up in the canyon and we had a pretty good time. I don't appreciate all the snow up there still. This is me and syboo with casey making a handsome face in the background.

Last but certainly not least is this picture with me and my two favorite boys. Matt and Casey are my peas in a pod. I'd have to say that I am like the cream of the oreo cookie and they are the 2 delicious chocolate cookies that make the cream all the better. I spend much of my free time with these 2 boys. We are either watching "America's Next Best Dance Crew", a movie, playing Super Nintendo, or swimming. Somehow it just usually ends up the 3 of us and I sure enjoy every moment spent with them. They are just truly the nicest boys around. I hope they aren't sick of me yet because they sure aren't gettin rid of me anytime soon. Don't worry, we are as hardcore as we look.

And sorry for my odes to people all the time, but I just think sometimes it's fun to know our history.

The Latest...

Recently, I packed up my Western self and moved out East to a little place called Virginia. My parents relocated out here about 2 years ago, so it was time I check out VA for myself. It is in the DC metro area, so we spend lots of fun time in the city or in the country. I am still working as a pediatric nurse and looking to maybe move towards the non-profit or political side of health care. I gained a new family member in the form of a Chinese exchange student named Donna, and I love being with my parents again. Life is good.
