election night coverage...

These two FABULOUS ladies are my new roommates; Besty and Emily!  Well on the night of the election, Emily and I were sitting home and watching Fox News and anticipating the results when I told her that I have never missed an election night party for as long as I can remember.  Then Emily said, "Why don't we have our own?"  So we rushed over to our neighborhood grocer and picked up all the necessary ingredients for a great party.  We then invited all our friends and had a party all within an hours time!  Now that's impressive eh?  Thanks Em!
Dad, I'm wearing a little sweatshirt in your honor!
Casey, Kyle and I toasting to McCain!
Emily and Chris...Aren't the decorations just amazing?  I bet you thought we must be in the Biltmore in Phoenix.
Taryn, Syrell, Kurtis and I packed on the couch in front of the TV screen.  Was it just me or did the election results come in much sooner than expected.  We felt like our party had just started when the words "Obama Elected President" flashed across the screen.  The picture below is all of us staring in disbelief at the TV.  Since when did results come in an hour after the polls closed? I know, I look near tears, but I was just sad at the thought that I may have to move again...to Mexico.

What a turn out. When is Matt going to get back in the game, Arizona is severely lacking true conservative leadership, on top of this nation.

It was a sad day, but I look at it like this, before Reagan, there was Carter. I guess we can hope a new Ronald Reagan type will come along, and come quickly.

The Latest...

Recently, I packed up my Western self and moved out East to a little place called Virginia. My parents relocated out here about 2 years ago, so it was time I check out VA for myself. It is in the DC metro area, so we spend lots of fun time in the city or in the country. I am still working as a pediatric nurse and looking to maybe move towards the non-profit or political side of health care. I gained a new family member in the form of a Chinese exchange student named Donna, and I love being with my parents again. Life is good.
