an angel with a curse

When I was born, I think i had a curse put on me by my Dr. who, I believe, was really a witch doctor. Either that or I was hit nice and hard with the clumsy stick. I have never been graceful or had balance really. In fact, in high school, my nickname was "Miss Grace" because I couldn't help from falling over anything, even my feet. So I figured that the last little while the curse had been lifted because I hadn't done anything too catastrophically embarrassing for some time. I think I was getting a little too sure of myself or something. Then the other night my friends and I all went to the midnight showing of a movie. There was quite a big crowd (as manifested in the picture) of our friends.  Everyone had taken their seats in the theatre and we had about 3 rows reserved for all of us. I came into the theatre with a the biggest size popcorn that one can buy and as I was walking up the stairs (in my dress and heels) I tripped and the popcorn flew everywhere while I layed my face in the ground with my hair in a tangle over my face.  The whole crowd at once made the sound "Oh" and no one really said anything while I continued to lay there, thinking of finding a nearby hole to crawl into.  Then I realized I had to stand up at some point, so I stood and everyone clapped at my performance. It was quite the experience.
It was a fun night overall really. The girls dressed up like angels and the boys dressed like demons for the midnight showing of Angels and Demons.  Oh good times, eh? The bottom picture is of my friend Deric and I in our garb.

The Latest...

Recently, I packed up my Western self and moved out East to a little place called Virginia. My parents relocated out here about 2 years ago, so it was time I check out VA for myself. It is in the DC metro area, so we spend lots of fun time in the city or in the country. I am still working as a pediatric nurse and looking to maybe move towards the non-profit or political side of health care. I gained a new family member in the form of a Chinese exchange student named Donna, and I love being with my parents again. Life is good.
