utah to virginia....across the miles with dad

my dad flew out to utah for business and so i loaded the car and picked him up for our adventure across the states.  I took a few pictures to illustrate our journey so I hope you enjoy the ride (minus the 35 hours in the car). Our first favorite stop was Cracker Barrel in Nebraska. Nothing like good home-cookin when you're on the road eating jerky and candy all day long.
This fine hotel was our place of stay for two nights.  It was so fine that many truckers and motorcycle gangs stayed there as well.
and of course, for those who know my dad, know that he must stop at the Harley stores...
and I missed getting a picture of Cabella's.  We actually joked about doing a Cabella's cross-country tour.  We passed about 6 on the way. Thank heavens we forwent that idea.
We visited Notre Dame and just being on the campus  made me feel inspired to do great things. I also loved seeing the football stadium and dad and I gave a shout out to Rudy.

The entire ride we listened to Ender's Game and Ender's Shadow. They are awesome books and I really quite enjoyed them.
Thanks for a great time dad. I had a good time!

The Latest...

Recently, I packed up my Western self and moved out East to a little place called Virginia. My parents relocated out here about 2 years ago, so it was time I check out VA for myself. It is in the DC metro area, so we spend lots of fun time in the city or in the country. I am still working as a pediatric nurse and looking to maybe move towards the non-profit or political side of health care. I gained a new family member in the form of a Chinese exchange student named Donna, and I love being with my parents again. Life is good.
