Library of Congress

A couple weekends ago, I met up with my friend Marcus in DC for the day. He was actually from my BYU ward and we ran into each other in the airport right after Christmas. Small world, I know. So one thing we were both DYING to do was to go to the Library of Congress. We rushed over there, only a short bit before closing time, and looked down into the reading rooms like boring tourists. It was absolutely amazing, but we wanted to go into the reading room. So we hurried across the street and got our very own official library cards with full access to the reading rooms, just in time. When we walked inside the huge room full of a million old books, I felt like a kid at Disneyland, and was exercising ever ounce of control I had not to scream from excitement.  We found the librarian and asked him a ton of questions...including questions about "National Treasure" and when it was filmed there. One lady went off about how handsome Nicholas Cage was. Ha, it was such a great day. I look forward to days in the future of reading in those Amazing (Amazing with a capital "A") reading rooms. Oh, the history!
Simply Stated: One "National Treasure" accessed with one little library card.

Recently, I packed up my Western self and moved out East to a little place called Virginia. My parents relocated out here about 2 years ago, so it was time I check out VA for myself. It is in the DC metro area, so we spend lots of fun time in the city or in the country. I am still working as a pediatric nurse and looking to maybe move towards the non-profit or political side of health care. I gained a new family member in the form of a Chinese exchange student named Donna, and I love being with my parents again. Life is good.
