Oh baby
I realize that I have made just under a million posts in the last day, but today was such a good day for me so I had to share it. I have been doing my clinicals in Labor and Delivery, Couplet Care, and Nursery the past little while and I absolutely love it. So far I feel it is my calling in the hospital. I can't seem to get enough of it or learn enough about it. And today I was in the nursery and it was pretty slow, so there was a lot of time to just sit and hold the babies. I took full advantage of the opportunity too...no one had to ask me twice! There were all sorts of little babies....ones with little afros, some with fohauks, and some with no hair at all to style. And as I was sitting, holding one of the most beautiful babies, I realized something. When I was little I used to go around telling everyone that I was going to be a nurse. I am not quite sure where I got the idea exactly, maybe I had a really awesome fake nursing kit or something, but I also remember saying that I was going to be a nurse in the nursery with the babies. I forgot all about that until today when I was holding this precious little one and I remembered back to my my goal and realized that I actually did it and that it came true. I sure didn't get here myself, that's the truth. I know someone upstairs has helped me all along the way as well as my family. I don't know if I will end up in the nursery exactly, but somewhere close. I just can't help but love the thought that the little ones are coming straight from Heavenly Father's arms to mine.

The Latest...
Recently, I packed up my Western self and moved out East to a little place called Virginia. My parents relocated out here about 2 years ago, so it was time I check out VA for myself. It is in the DC metro area, so we spend lots of fun time in the city or in the country. I am still working as a pediatric nurse and looking to maybe move towards the non-profit or political side of health care. I gained a new family member in the form of a Chinese exchange student named Donna, and I love being with my parents again. Life is good.
