Then later that day we had a BBQ with our friends Zach, Jordan, Daniel and others from the ward. Nothing like a BBQ on the 4th right?
That night those boys played in a soccer game because they are on the BYU soccer team. Taryn, Syrell and I made some rockin signs that I am sure they were so proud of. We sure made the people behind us into enemies, but anything to show spirit!
Then after the game was over, we ran onto the field and set up our blankets and watched the fireworks that were for the Stadium of Fire. I was sad I missed the Hannah Montana performance from inside the stadium, but I guess I had to spare my seat for the 12 year-olds. It was a great day and so nice to be with family and people I love. The 4th of July is one of my very favorite holidays and I am so grateful for the men and women who have and are currently sacrificing their lives and time on my behalf (that includes you Dad and Mom!). I can't imagine not being able to worship the way I believe or not being able to live the dream of becoming anything I aspire to. I sure am so grateful for my freedoms.
To move on to other days of the summer....
This is a picture of the same crowd again but at bowling night. It was so much fun because we decided to spice things up and play "Add-On Bowling" where we had to do crazy moves all the way down the lane until it was time to bowl. How it worked was the person bowling had to add a dance move on top of the moves that the all the people who bowled before them did. It was not so easy, but it was my good excuse for a bad score...Other times I actually have tried hard and still end up with the same score. It was a good time.
One night all these friends...again...went to the Boondocks. Yeah, I love the name too. It's a place where they have laser tag, indie cars, arcade games, and much more. I loved it! My other cousin Lauren came along as well and this is our Infamous (more than famous) pose where we are posing like Uncle Rico from Napoleon Dynamite. For those of you who know and enjoy the movie...yes, it did feel like we were surrounded by sea horses.

Katie, please know that I am jealous that you had the ability to purchase and use fireworks legally on the Fourth. You know the rule in AZ. This year I think was the first that I didn't even go watch fireworks. Glad to hear your having fun wherever life is taking you.
How fun Katie! It looks like you are having a blast! Way to be so patriotic! You girls look so cute! I didn't know Provo had a Fourth of July parade! How cool! Keep livin' it up! P.S.You are so pretty!! You look like a BABE in all these pix!
